Karnataka Microelectronic Design Centre Pvt Ltd has emerged as a team with in-depth acumen in Memory, High Performance Digital, Analog, RF and Mixed Signal domains.

A unique feature of the Design Centre is that its members are drawn exclusively from KarMic Training Centre Pvt. Ltd., after a year of postgraduate training emphasizing strong team spirit as well as practical aspects of IC design.

History

Dr. Shivaling. S. Mahant-shetti envisioned a new world where every thing is natural, sophisticated, free yet controlled, peaceful yet powerful, innovative, productive and constructive in all a committed garden of rosy success reservoir of knowledge in harmony with social responsibility enterprise of enterprises called "KarMic"

The very purpose of starting KarMic is to create business model with a working place that build and nurtures highly enterprising deep knowledge engineers that provide world class work in home town.

Mr. Mark Harward gave life to the vision. The first operational building (H.No: D-115) in Manipal was chosen for VLSI training, hence the start of Karmic Training Center on June 1999.

Initial plan was to setup training center in Suratkal. But overwhelming response and encouragement from Mr. Narasimha Bhat and Mr. A.R.Bhat made KarMic to setup its center in Manipal.

Project : The solution for India centric problem of Power Shortage and Low Cost Internet Connection.

In the journey till today KarMic Training Center produced about 300 world class VLSI engineers.

Essential part of life here is Volley ball and Table Tennis.

Amongst all there is time for Volley ball IPLs, "hand printing" n crafting the cafeteria, honoring the achievements, celebration of special moments, undulating lunch time giggles, team trips, trucking, rafting etc.,
